Bizna Kenya has entered into a strategic alliance with PlayOn, a digital entertainment platform owned by Rubik’s Digital, in a move designed to integrate entrepreneurship and gaming as tools for youth empowerment.
The partnership was formalised during a signing event held at Baraza Limited in Nairobi, with leadership from both entities in attendance.
The collaboration seeks to align digital engagement with business development by leveraging the growing influence of gaming among young audiences.
Central to the initiative is the creation of digital programmes that connect entrepreneurial skills with interactive, gaming-driven learning models.
Tonnie Mello, Chief Executive Officer of Bizna Kenya, characterised the collaboration as a forward-looking endeavour designed to harness the transformative potential of gaming beyond recreation.
“This is more than a partnership — it’s the beginning of a powerful collaboration that connects business, innovation, and youth culture,” Mello stated.
“Gaming is no longer just about play. It is a dynamic force driving creativity, community, and the digital economy. Through this partnership with PlayOn, we aim to inspire and equip the youth to win in the business of gaming and beyond.”
Key components of the programme include the introduction of business-themed gaming tournaments, the development of gamified learning experiences tailored to aspiring entrepreneurs, and the organisation of digital showcases for content creators and youth influencers.
The partners also aim to extend access to these programmes within rural and marginalised communities, ensuring inclusivity across diverse demographic segments.
Antony Okeyo, Chief Executive Officer of Rubik’s Digital, noted that the partnership aligns with PlayOn’s broader mission to support youth as active contributors in the digital economy.
“Partnering with Bizna Kenya opens up new opportunities for us to deliver more value to our users,” Okeyo remarked.
“This partnership aligns with our mission to empower the youth not just as gamers, but as digital innovators and entrepreneurs.”
Kenya’s technology sector has experienced sustained growth in recent years, positioning the country as a leader in Africa’s digital transformation.
The Bizna Kenya–PlayOn alliance seeks to ensure that youth are not left behind but are empowered as stakeholders in emerging digital markets.
In closing, Bizna Kenya issued a public appeal to development agencies, private sector players, and government institutions to support the advancement of digitally enabled entrepreneurship initiatives.
“The game is on,” Mello concluded. “Let’s build something unforgettable — for the youth, for the future, for Kenya.”
The partnership underscores a growing trend among African enterprises to merge cultural engagement with economic development, particularly through the lens of youth-focused innovation and technology adoption.
