At NCBA Group, our vision has always gone beyond the financial bottom line; We are a brand built on partnerships, possibilities, and purpose.
One of the ways the Group brings this vision to life is through our strategic investment in golf, a sport that not only fosters community, discipline, and resilience, but also serves as a powerful platform for customer engagement, brand visibility, and regional development.
In recent years, golf has grown to become more than just a recreational endeavor in Kenya and the larger East Africa but an ecosystem where business, tourism, and talent converge.
NCBA Bank has recognized this transformation in the game and made a deliberate commitment to nurture and grow the golf sport across the region.
Through our flagship initiative, the NCBA Golf Series, we have established one of the most inclusive, comprehensive golf circuits the East African region has ever witnessed.

Since its launch in 2021, the series has managed to engage thousands of amateur golfers from varied backgrounds and showcased some of the most scenic courses in the region.
NCBA’s more than Sh230 million investment in NCBA Golf Series in five years has elevated the quality of the sport and also promoted sustainability in communities around golf clubs.
NCBA Group’s historic investment in golf in Kenya and the larger East African region is anchored on three key pillars: growing the game, growing talent, and growing communities.
Growing the Game
Through various programs in the NCBA Golf Series, NCBA Bank has taken golf to new corners of the region, transforming access and inspiring a new generation of aficionados.
By hosting the tournaments in both well-established and emerging golf courses, we boost local economies and put limelight on destinations that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
Each tournament provides an opportunity to foster regional tourism, promote inter-county business dialogue, and showcase the potential of the sport as a key driver of the economy.
In the past Four years, NCBA has conducted golfing tournaments in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda to promote the sport in the East African region.
In the 2025 series, NCBA has committed Sh60 million to sponsor 159 events; 31 of them being Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) events, 75 Junior events, 12 pro events and 41 NCBA Golf Series qualifier events in total.
Growing Talent
We believe that greatness starts with opportunity.
That’s why our support extends to junior golf development programs, helping nurture the next generation of African golf stars.
Our partnership with junior academies and golf unions reflects our desire to build a pipeline of skilled players who can represent the region on international platforms.
Golf instills values of discipline, focus, and integrity, all attributes that we cherish and promote as a brand.
This year’s fifth edition of the series has seen NCBA’s annual golf sponsorship double and this has notably transformed clubs and the lives of more than 20,000 golfers and caddies.
Growing Communities
Each golf event NCBA sponsors also provides a platform for our bank to engage meaningfully with our customers.
Whether it is through networking lounges, client clinics, or post-tournament forums, NCBA Bank uses these moments to listen, connect, and co-create with the people we serve.
The golf sport has proven to be a distinctive environment for building authentic relationships, away from boardrooms, in a setting that inspires collaboration and trust.
This unique setting provided by golf aligns perfectly with our customer-first philosophy and our commitment to building a business led by relationship.
Above business, NCBA also view golf as a vehicle for social impact and many of our events integrate causes such as environmental conservation, youth empowerment, and education.
These causes reinforce our Citizenship agenda and accentuate our belief that a sustainable business is one that intentionally invests in the society within which it operates.
NCBA has also pledged to plant 10 million trees by 2030 as part of its "Change the Story" initiative to promote sustainability and biodiversity, and this aligns with the global agenda to combat climate change.
As we look to the future, NCBA Bank is deeply committed to not only being a financier of growth, but also a champion of the passions that define and unite our communities.
Golf, with its power to inspire, connect, and elevate, will remain a core part of that journey.
At NCBA Goup, we are not only playing the game, we are changing it!
