Samsung Electronics has confirmed that Microsoft’s Copilot will be built into its 2025 televisions and Smart Monitors.
The company said the integration, powered by Samsung Vision AI, will allow viewers to call on the AI assistant directly from their screens, either by voice or with a single press of the remote.
The South Korean manufacturer explained that the addition will give households a way to search for information, learn new things or interact with entertainment without relying on a separate device.
Samsung’s Executive Vice President of the Customer Experience Team at the Visual Display Business, Kevin Lee, said the company wants to push its displays beyond traditional viewing by using open AI partnerships.
“Through our open AI partnerships, Samsung is setting a new standard for AI-powered screens. Copilot makes it fun and easy to quickly get what you need through tailored experiences, whether you're learning something new, enjoying entertainment, tackling everyday tasks or more,” Lee stated.

The company outlined that Copilot will sit alongside existing functions, including Bixby and Click to Search, and will also operate inside Samsung Daily+, its hub that offers lifestyle-focused services covering wellness, food and entertainment.
By doing so, Samsung said, the assistant will create a more contextual experience for people using their screens.
The assistant will be available across the Tizen OS home screen, Daily+ and Click to Search.
According to Samsung, it will be able to provide quick facts, plot summaries, background on actors or athletes, language-learning support and simplified explanations of complex ideas, all through natural conversation on the television itself.
Microsoft’s Partner General Manager for AI, David Washington, said the project is designed to make Copilot feel more like a presence in the living room than a typical piece of software.
“Copilot on Samsung TVs is designed to feel like an AI companion in your living room. Together with Samsung’s leadership in advanced display technology, we’re bringing people a shared experience that helps them discover something to watch, ask questions, make plans, or simply enjoy a moment together, all on the biggest screen in their home,” Washington said.
Samsung pointed out that it has held the number one position in global television sales for 19 consecutive years.
The firm argued that this scale gives it an advantage in delivering what it views as the most intuitive AI-powered companion for the home
